[N]ow an L.A. coffee institution, Go Get Em Tiger opened its sixth location last week at the newly renovated Music Center Plaza. On Thursday, August 29, the coffee shop joined with The Mullin Wine Bar to host a special block party at the plaza, complete with live music, coffee, cocktails, and giveaways, to celebrate their grand opening.<\/p>\n

The new location offers GGET\u2019s signature seasonal, single-origin coffees, house-made nut milks, sweet pastries including a stone fruit galette and a chocolate tart, and a seasonal food program. It will also have an ongoing music selection curated by the DJ collective dublab, played through a custom McIntosh hi-fi system.<\/p>\n

Joseph Wedding, GGET\u2019s director of store design, worked closely with The Music Center Plaza architects Rios Clementi Hale Studios to create the store\u2019s open layout with sliding floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing the caf\u00e9 to cohesively flow into the outdoor plaza. Playful pops of color and design reflect the company\u2019s signature brand and personality.<\/p>\n

Performing arts has always been at the heart of GGET: Co-founder Kyle Glanville originally went to theater school with the intention of starting his own theater company, but after meeting Charles Babinski, the two decided to launch a coffee company instead.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeing able to open a GGET at The Music Center is a huge honor,\u201d Glanville tells Fresh Cup. \u201cIt is L.A.\u2019s most essential performing arts hub\u2026surrounded by some of the city\u2019s most iconic architecture. It\u2019s an institution.\u201d<\/p>\n
