[T]he serenity of tea ceremony and its exceptional counterbalance to the fast-paced nature of life in Los Angeles is the guiding principle behind Steep LA<\/a>. Founders Lydia Lin and Samuel Wang gradually rediscovered their passion for the traditional Chinese tea of their childhood after a years-long hiatus from the practice.<\/p>\n

Now, the two wish to share their passion for traditional teas from a freshly remodeled tea room in L.A.\u2019s Chinatown. Serenity can be found in both Steep\u2019s elegant menu of green, black, oolong, and pu-erh teas, as well as the shop\u2019s minimalist, clean aesthetic. Local, sustainable designers and makers will be featured at the shop in a curated retail section<\/p>\n
