[A] little over two years in, Midori Matcha has opened its third retail location in the Los Angeles region. In September 2016, Midori Matcha opened in downtown L.A.’s Little Tokyo, then a second location in Costa Mesa in August 2018. Now, the burgeoning chainlette has gone for a three-peat with the arrival of its third shop in Pasadena this October.
Midori has built a cult following for its 100% organic ceremonial grade matcha imported from Japan, its vibrant hojicha and matcha soft serve ice cream, and its opulent French-Japanese-inspired pastries from ST Pâtisserie Chocolat.
